Report terms and conditions for your client

AORA recommends that an AORA customer includes in their agreement with a client being assessed the clauses below or clauses with similar effect.

What we do and what to expect

You would like us to make an assessment of your prospects for British nationality. This will take into consideration the history of you and your ancestors to the extent that it appears relevant to us and to the extent of the information that we received before the assessment.

Our Nationality Report includes the following:

  1. Details of any claim found to British nationality or right of abode.
  2. A Status Trace setting out your nationality history.
  3. Brief comments on any UK immigration alternatives that are apparent to us

All the above is based on the information we have received from you.

The report service does not include:

  1. searching for records or obtaining evidence of events,
  2. discussion or explanation of laws affecting nationality or events which happened (or did not happen) beyond what is stated in the report, or
  3. preparation or submission of any application.

By entering into this agreement, you declare to the best of your knowledge that any information you will provide (or have provided) to us is accurate and complete, except where otherwise indicated. If we request further information and it is not supplied within four weeks of the date of payment, then we will make assumptions that we consider reasonable and prepare a report based on that assumed data.

You confirm that you understand that the outcome of the report may be positive or negative. At this date, we do not have a view of the likely outcome for your particular case. Historically many reports have a negative outcome. The outcome may be contingent on assumptions or approximate information.  Any further information or corrections of a material nature received by us within 4 weeks of the date of the report will be considered and an updated report supplied for [no][an] extra charge.

The report we prepare is personal and specific to the person to whom it relates and cannot be used for, or relied on, by other people.

Please read our GDPR Statement at [link to GDPR page on law firm website] for information on how your data is processed and stored. This includes processing and storage of your data on third party systems.

By signing this agreement or making payment you confirm that

  1. You have read, understood and agree to i) the terms and conditions set out above and ii) our GDPR Statement.
  2. You consent to the processing of the data you supply in accordance with that Statement.
  3. Others whose data you supply have given similar consent, or given you authority to consent on their behalf.
